January 2025 - The Diary

Having only had a couple of days off, with The Barras Market shop busy and lots of concessions now open for Zico Fashion Boutique, it was quickly back into roleplay work with both The Wheatley Group and Glasgow University this month and 2025 picked up much as 2024 had ended! No rest for the wicked, eh? We had former Manchester United and Celtic striker Brian McClair back at my fashion store ZICO and our photo made national press in The Sun, The Evening Times and Glasgow Live and others below.

Then back to Edinburgh for another WHEATLEY roleplay and more at The University Of Glasgow for the Medical School. Then followed a whole raft of (unsuccessful!) auditions however am delighted with the opportunities I have been given by my fab agent Nancy Hudson Associates already this month. Booked another couple of film jobs for 2025 and already shaping up to be another really busy year ahead.

Finally this month I landed a voice-over ADR role for the brilliant short film CHILD'S FARE as a Bus Driver. This film is Directed by Kirsty McLean as part of the 2023 Sharp Shorts program. Delighted to be a part of it and a first credit to kick off this new year.

December 2024 - The Diary

December began with more fab roleplay work in Glasgow and on Zoom with The Wheatley Group, followed soon after by a short documentary film entitled JOHN CAMPBELL SLOAN, Directed by David Burns, who I had last worked with on RHINOMAN. We shot this atmospheric and intriguing film at

another fascinating venue, the Glasgow Spiritualist Church with a lovely cast and crew, photos here are courtesy of David Burns. Another really enjoyable day's work! This was followed by costume fittings at
Mensch Clothing in Duke Street for another television pilot I was offered at the end of last month and

will keep you updated on that one when we get shooting underway in 2025, see photo below! Got some excellent costumes from here and thanks to everyone for all your help in pulling out the best vintage gear in Glasgow! Very much looking forward to this pilot episode shoot & getting into this new character!

I then joined my old pal Scott Kyle on the famous 'Subway Crawl' around the Glasgow Underground network for a fun-filled evening with these fellas below, followed by the usual end of year meeting of

The Hellfire Club at Sarti's restaurant in the company of Gavin Mitchell and Irvine & Emma Welsh and a great laugh and catch-up at the end of December in Glasgow. Again thanks to all of the staff who looked after us so well and to the delicious food as ever on offer! And great to see my old pals again of course!

And thus completes another year of my acting adventures and I have enjoyed every last minute of 2024. Thank you for following this wee blog and a very Happy New Year to you all xxx

November 2024 - The Diary

Into November and more Glasgow University Medical School roleplays followed by a brilliant short film shoot with Dropshack Films for the Aberdeen 48Hour Film Challenge. Love working with this team and our black & white exorcism spoof garnered lots of awards, including Best Film and another Best Actor nomination for yours truly! Also this month, the brilliant trailer to BURIED short film was released &

another excellent film now hitting the festival scene. You can watch the trailer and get more info and BTS shots from the shoot here Buried Short Film and will keep you posted on developments. The new film

poster is pictured above. Back to roleplay work with the University and more auditions and booked three more gigs for 2025, more of which nearer the time. Finished off the month working on Michael Coooke's latest short fil UP/DOWN as a priest, yet another clerical role this year! Great fu, great cast & crew and

as hinted by this BTS photo above, quite beautifully lit! Really enjoy working with Michael and will do again in the future hopefully. A fine month!

October 2024 - The Diary

Back from holidays and straight into roleplay work with Wheatley and Glasgow University Medical School, to kick off a busy month ahead. Then it was back to London for more recalls and auditions but alas no joy! Very nice to be back 'in the room' again however as the industry has changed to self-recorded tapes for most auditions, so was great to be directed & to meet the various CD's and Producers this time.

Back to Glasgow and another day's filming and finally wrapped on RHINOMAN short film as McFadjin. Great fun working with my old pal, Director & Actor Douglas Sannachan again (see below photo) and another funny, mad scene to shoot! THERE MUST BE SOME WAY OUT OF HERE, which we lastly

shot in Edinburgh last month has moved into the edit and a few more fan BTS photos were released this month. Really looking forward to seeing the end result! Another project I worked on some time ago has

now hit the festival circuit. REDEVELOPING HOPE, in which I play New Yorker Mitch was screened this month at The Hague Film Festival and in New York to some acclaim and delighted to see it now out.

Another trip to London at the end of October to meet with agents and am very happy to announce that I will now be represented for all work by the lovely Nancy Hudson Associates. For all enquiries please now
