September began with production meetings for two feature films I am slated for this quarter, followed by more roleplay work. Delighted to meet The Football Factory & Acid House fan Steven at The Barras store and to sign some merchandise for him (below) which brought back some nice memories of shooting
both films many moons ago! The trailer for Paul Sng's brilliant documentary REALITY IS NOT ENOUGH was also released early September, in which I make very brief appearance, which you can watch here

final performance of Irvine Welsh's PORNO in which I played Sick Boy at The Edinburgh Fringe. The film will be released next month and I attended the GFT screening in September and caught up with Irvine and Paul before and after the screening and brilliant Q&A. Much fun and laughter over a lovely meal
at Sarti's In Bath Street once again and both were on great form as usual. Really enjoyed watching this amazing doc for the second time, having attended the Edinburgh Premiere during the EIFF and proud
to have been a tiny part of it! Also delighted to receive a copy of Irv's latest book MEN IN LOVE
which is the sequel to TRAINSPOTTING and which I am currently engrossed in! Next up was a monologue competition written by my pal Glen Dickson, pictured below, and shot at home and a great script. The film, entitled BRICKED IN, went out on Talking Horse Productions USA website and went down well and was a really enjoyable gig. Back to the Barras and we had a whole raft of STILL GAME
actors pop by the shop this month, including old pals Gavin Mitchell and Sanjeev Kohli pictured below, both of whom I have worked with on shows such as VICTORIAN SCOTS and INSTANT CREDIT
Great fun as always catching up with these talented chaps and soon followed by Ford Kiernan who was filming his podcast show at the famous old market and stopped by our store Zico Fashion Boutique to
say hello, pictured below, with co-star Shelby from THE FORD AND SHELBY SHOW. Great to see them all again and as always a brilliant laugh as the show is still such a popular part of Scottish culture and their characters have all become iconic.
September saw the release of my episodes of OUTLANDER BLOOD OF MY BLOOD, which I shot last year and have been really looking forward to finally seeing. One of my favourite jobs of all time and the
eventual result of 13 previous auditions for OUTLANDER! Finally I made it onto this brilliant prequel series, set during the first Jacobite Rebellion. More of this in a future post, but needless to say I loved
every second of this shoot and made great friends on this one, as well as reuniting with lots of old pals in the wonderful cast and crew. This month also saw 2 of my previous short films screened as part of the
ever-growing HB FILM FESTIVAL in Paisley, with David MacCormack's BURIED (pictured above and below) and Michael Cooke's UP/DOWN both scheduled in. Proud of both films, both very different
roles and beautifully shot and nice to see your work from last year now playing on the big screen in front of an audience. Good luck to both films, which I am sure will garner more awards. Back then to more
roleplays with Glasgow University Medical School, followed by a couple of auditions and then into another excellent short film shoot in Edinburgh, again with a number of old pals and a quite brilliant
script. More on this rather special film in a future post, but it represented a major milestone for my
career. Great fun too. Spent some time working with Scott Kyle again this month on future changes to the BILLY & TIM stage script and really looking forward to going back to The Glasgow Pavilion later in the
year and finally I was delighted to be invited along to a Q&A with Frank McAvennie and Peter Grant of
Celtic FC alongside Tommy Sheridan in Elders Bar, Tollcross. Huge thanks to Bernie for inviting me along and thanks to Frank & Peter, two of my favourite former players for the photo above! A fab moth, full of fun events and good work and screenings and auditions and some interesting work booked in.
