May 2018 - The Diary

To London again for another brilliant COLOPLAST UK live roleplay gig before jetting off to Jamaica for a well-earned break! Third visit to this wonderful country and delighted to be back and wore my McGregor Tartan kilt for our huge in-laws family reunion in beautiful Runaway Bay!

Off the plane home and straight down to Leeds for another live gig for COLOPLAST at the lovely Hilton Doubletree and then back to Scotland to play a funny cameo in Maz Edmond's superb debut Feature Film CONNECT with a brilliant cast & many familiar faces in the superb crew. Tough gig but fun and great spending time with this talented group on a really fascinating indie Scottish film.

Here I am as 'Stevie Sparkles, Entertainer' and melting in the East Lothian heat as we shot Christmas scenes in lovely Gullane and North Berwick. Also released this month was the first trailer for Douglas King's Feature Film SUPER NOVEMBER, which you can view here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGJNLLp6gPM Thrilled also this month to meet living legend and Lisbon Lion Bobby Lennox and get my hands on the European Cup in Saltcoats

and rounded off an interesting month with the screening on Sky Atlantic of my episode of the brilliant PATRICK MELROSE and a small but perfectly-formed scene to grab for my new showreel next year! Here I am as Angus in a scene with Benedict Cumberbatch, Jessica Raine and Prasanna

Puwanarajah in which Princess Margaret comes to a lavish dinner in Episode 3: Some Hope. As I mentioned back in November, this was a joy to shoot from start to finish and delighted with the result.

April 2018 - The Diary

Kicked off Q2 with a freezing cold but great fun shoot with Production Attic in Glasgow for Seymour Powell. Great product and lovely bunch of people to work with and directed by Justin Adams.

Then more really positive meetings for my new production company, Cathkin Park Limited and have a raft of projects now in development for 2019. Delighted to finally get the chance to play for Celtic in a pro-celebrity charity Old Firm Greats match at Kilbirnie in a fine 6-5 win!

And despite playing terribly, knackering my ankle and giving away 2 goals, I absolutely loved it! Huge thanks to Paul John Dykes and Bernie for getting me involved and really looking forward to the next one in June at Irvine.

Then back to Glasgow for a lovely screening of AJ Sykes REGRETS short film with the cast and crew at Film City, Govan and great to see the film on the big screen before it goes on the Festival circuit this summer.

The following week was yet another screening, this time for Douglas King's Feature Film SUPER NOVEMBER at The Empire, Clydebank. Really enjoyed it as did the audience and nice to catch up with everyone again and pleased with my wee cameo! Again, this film will be hitting the Festivals

this year and was screening at the East End Film Festival this month too. Really enjoyed the 5 screenings of my work this year already and well worth the wait to finally see them properly on the cinema screen. More auditions for television this month before heading through to Leith and a fun and interesting voice-over for Tanami and The Bank Of Scotland
